Artist Statement:

I exist in dualities, and so does my work.

I move through photography, video, fabric, digital media, collage, and more – each medium offering a different way to hold the contradiction of being soft and angry, intimate and distant, joyful and aching. I don’t create from a single process or formula – I create from memory, from research, from intuition, from heartbreak. Sometimes I’m guided by a visceral urge to document an emotion as it unfolds, other times I’m months deep in research, driven by a sense of urgency or anger over a societal wound.

My art lives in that space where the personal is inescapably political. That every family album is also an archive of what gets left out. That our silence is never neutral. My work often begins in pain – rage, grief, alienation – but over time it bends toward reflection, and occasionally, toward the tender illusion of resolution.
